This is another of my favourite year round dresses - from the GP & J Baker range at @hm 💖 It has a pretty floral/exotic bird print so suitable for spring 💐 and the fit is loose so you can layer underneath. My outfit from yesterday close up 🧐 Burgundy is always my favourite colour in autumn/winter so this is my little tribute to burgundy as we near the end of winter ☺️♥️ A few followers ask about how to winterise dresses by layering - to make it work you have to have a lightweight top - I’m always waxing lyrical about these thermal tops from @marksandspencer as they’re basically like a second skin so they won’t look bulky underneath a dress 🌟And layering tends to work better with loose-fitting dresses - shirt dresses like this are ideal. I bought this one last autumn (before the Duchess of Sussex wore it 😉💁🏻‍♀️) and It’s a really versatile dress that can be worn all year round 💫 In winter I wear it with a cream or navy polo neck underneath and sometimes with a chunky Burgundy or cream jumper over the top.
